Nigerian Delegate To World Championship of Performing Arts Wins Gold & Silver Medals



 

Nigeria has recorded a milestone in Hollywood, United States of America as Savage Ayodeji, the first Nigerian to compete in the WCOPA, wins a silver medal in Modeling-swimwear category plus a gold medal to crown his effort.

GOLDEN IMAGE AWARD, GIA, rolled out the Red Carpet for the forth consecutive year! Held at the Monrovia City Hall on July 16, 2014. The awards has gone international with recipients coming from several African & Western countries to grace the occasion! The GIA awards is intended to spot the light on silent heroes who's doing exceptional in various parts of the society but often times tend to go unnoticed!

Let’s talk 2014 ELLE Rising Star Design Award! Entries open today (8 July 2014) and this year the search is not just countrywide –it’s continent-wide. Yes, ELLE and Mr Price are casting our fashion net wider and have opened up the competition to young designers across Africa – and so the search begins for Africa’s most talented young fashion designer!

So if you dream of a career in fashion, launching your own label and to be mentored by ELLE and Mr Price, this is for you.

This year the ELLE Rising Star Design Award in association with MRP is presented by African Fashion International at the prestigious Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Joburg 2014, where our finalists will show their designs. Hoping to follow in the footsteps of previous winners David Tlale, Tiaan Nagel and Anisa Mpungwe and most recently Nicholas Coutts? We’re passionate about nurturing talent and giving Africa’s young designers the tools and the platform.

Couture Fashion Brand TeKay Designs Debut Pageant Gown Collection at the United Nations Pageant

At the United Nations Pageant World Finals on July 6, 2014 in Kingston Jamaica, international fashion house TeKay Designs released their couture pageant gown collection.  Miss United Nations 2014 (Precious Chikwendu) from Nigeria and Ms. United Nations 2014 (Lembi Ndahafa Edward) from Namibia debut TeKay Designs pageant gowns. Mrs. United Nations 2014 from South Africa (Suzann Botha), Mr. United Nations 2014 from India (Rajan Sra) and Miss United Nations 2014 received a gift certificate from TeKay Designs Inc.
