MEET CORNELIUS WRIGHT LIBERIA'S TOP PRODUCER


With the Liberian Music Industry on the rise Cornelius Wright has been a big part of this emerging growth. He has worked with many of the big names in the industry. With awards season in full swing, Mr. Wright was nominated for producer of the year at 2014 Liberian Entertainment Awards. He is also nominated for Poducer of the Year at the prestigous Liberia Music Awards to be held this June 14, 2014 in Atlanta, Georgia.

Cornelius Yahsuo Wright (born in Bong Mines, Bong County, Liberia), best known by his stage name Bennie Ox, is an incredible composer, arranger, singer and producer. Originally from West Africa Monrovia, Liberia, He has an exotic style with a unique sound. He was a member of the defunct Afro-Hipco group called “Judge Not”. Bennie Ox is currently one of the most popular artistes and producer on the... Liberia music scene. 
 
 

He attended the St. Philip Ecumenical High School in Montserrado County (Monrovia) where he got a High School Diploma, and later schooled at the Stella Maris Polytechnic (SMP), achieving his first Degree in Civil Engineering. While attending High School, Bennie Ox started composing and singing Demos at school talent shows in 1997. He used to be called “Ox Born”, but later changed his stage name to “Bennie Ox”. He moved to New Georgia Estate and started performing with fellow rappers, Paul Square and Slakers, forming Judge Not. He had met Paul Square and Slakers, while attending a show rehearsal. 

In 2005, the song “LIB Grow" was on the national radio top 10 program for weeks. Judge Not came together in 2004 to record an album which they titled So Sweet. 

 His influences include: R&B, Reggae, DanceHall, Highlife, and Hipco music. Working from a strong faith in God, and the passion he has for his music. He fills his songs with some of the most beautiful lyrics and rhythms. Bennie Ox does not forget his root and gives much thanks and respect to his fans and supporters as he would not be where he is today without them; God first.
He has worked with producer like: Thomas Frank Holder Jr (LNS studio), V- Garley (Famata Records) Chief Kume( Hit Records) and KY record from Liberia
